  • Counseling for Children
  • Family and Marriage Counseling

I was born and raised in Upstate New York where my grandparents had a working dairy farm, and I spent many summers with them as a child. My family is a large one: eight children, of which I am the seventh - lots of noise, love, and laughter! I have a daughter, Erin, who presently lives in Texas teaching elementary music, which is her passion. I am very much an outdoors-kind-of-person. I love to run, hike, and camp; but I also enjoy simple things, like reading and spending time with friends and family.

My goal is to create a nurturing and safe relationship for you in which your healing and change can take place; it is my hope that as we walk this journey together, you will allow me to pray and believe with you! I've found that leading with Christian counseling (Prayer, the Holy Spirit's guidance, and the use of Scripture) - and then utilizing psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapy when it would be beneficial - yields the best outcomes. God loves us and desires that we trust Him to transform our lives in tremendous ways! .

My counseling career includes individual counseling for men, women, and adolescents for issues such as anxiety and depression, as well as those with substance abuse issues.

My experience includes, but is not limited to:

  • Anger
  • Depression
  • Bi-Polar Disorder
  • Bereavement and Grief
  • Women’s Issues
  • Domestic Violence
  • Displacement after major life events (divorce, death, empty nest)
  • Substance Abuse
  • Parenting Skills
  • Body Image Issues
  • Self Esteem Issues
